Punk Rock Flea Market (PRFM) Akron is a DIY market for alternative artists, unique makers and small local independent businesses, curated by We Are The Weirdos Ohio. You’ll see vendors selling things like original artwork and graphic apparel, oddities, handmade jewelry, vintage clothing, baked goods, macabre creations, comics and collectibles, and so much more!

Every event features multiple food trucks and other fun entertainment!

The first PRFM started in Trenton, NJ in 2013 and now there are several throughout the US, Canada and overseas. Our organizers have vended at the PRFM Philadelphia several times and wanted to bring the same exciting experience to NE Ohio!

To us, alternative means the opposite of mainstream, it means not the norm, and ideas and crafts that push the envelope into the weird / cool artistic side of a person’s personality or interest.

In some cases even though you yourself may be an alternative person, living a completely alternative lifestyle sometimes the business itself is not alternative and falls into the mainstream crafts category.

Our punk rock flea markets are more focused on the businesses that don’t have the same opportunities to just sell or be accepted into any show of their choosing.

It means skulls, it means chains, it means celebrating Halloween 365 days a year.

It’s punk rock, it’s hip hop, it’s tattoos, it's metal, it's goth, it's LGBTQ+, it’s music, it’s love, it’s beautifully weird and wonderful.

That’s what it is.

All of our shows are mostly geared towards adults and young adults. Every family and child have different tolerance levels, so we feel as if it isn’t our place to tell you yes or no. We recommend taking a look at the vendors that will be attending on our website/social media and our “Punk Rock Flea Market Akron” playlist on Spotify to judge for yourself.

Summit County Fairgrounds has a large designated parking lot in front of the Arena Complex building where the show will be taking place. Parking is FREE!

NO! While this show is very much focused on the Northeast Ohio area, we will be accepting applications from all over in an effort to make these shows as successful for everyone involved as possible and to draw people into Akron and its local businesses and restaurants. So whether you’re from Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati or even Pittsburgh or Detroit, your application will be taken into consideration and judged solely on criteria we look to include in the show.

YES! We welcome any opportunity for even more small businesses and vendors to collaborate and be a part of the show if they are willing to share the same vendor space. Both vendors would need to be approved through us ( We Are The Weirdos Ohio ) before a vendor submits their fee.

There will however be some information that will only be given to vendors selected for the show which we will not release publicly.
